We go to the gym to keep our bodies in good shape, so consider this the same idea but with your creativity! The exercise we have planned is called, "Outdoor Wedding" from the book, "Creative Workshop" generously donated to the club by Cheryl Dine!
At the start of the challenge, we'll each pick a mystery fictitious client, gather natural materials like twigs and flowers outside, and then assemble a handcrafted wedding invitation concept. Bring your own design tools and materials, if you feel so inclined. We also have a growing share stash with paper, scissors, and glue plus many others tend to share paints, colored pencils, etc. if you're in need or forget.
All professional designers, creatives, and students are welcome to attend, regardless of experience level.
The discussion prompt for this month is 'what helps you keep your creative muscles primed and ready for action'?
Parking offers a mix of a dedicated lot and nearby street parking. The library has a small lot (around 25 spots) and free street parking, but the surrounding area is busy. Venture a block or two further from Cass Street/Garnet Avenue into residential streets for potentially easier and free parking. Other club members are willing to help people get to and from and transit stops as needed, plus we encourage carpooling whenever possible.
Contact the organizers for details and to coordinate access if you require assistance.
